Terms of service

Short version: it is your context, it is early software, be reasonable, and we will be too.

The service

Axiom Lift ("Axiom", "we") captures the context of your AI coding sessions from computers you connect, keeps it in your account, and hands it back to you and to the AI tools you use. It is provided by Axiom Lift, United Kingdom. Using axiomlift.ai, or installing the Axiom client, means you accept these terms. A self-hosted copy of the software is yours to run under its own licence, and these terms only cover the service we run.

Your account

• One account is for one person or one team who share it knowingly. Keep your password and connect commands private; anything done with them counts as done by you.
• You are responsible for the computers you connect. Only connect computers whose session files you are entitled to upload.
• You must be 16 or over.

Your content

• You own it. Transcripts, code, notes and everything derived from them for your account remain yours.
• You give us only the permission needed to store, index and hand your content back to you and to the tools you connect. We do not sell it, share it, or use it to train anything.
• You are responsible for what is in it. Do not upload content you have no right to, other people's personal data without a lawful basis, or anything unlawful.
• Publishing a profile or a context repository makes that part visible to others. Only you can do that, and you can withdraw it.

Acceptable use

Do not attack, probe or overload the service, scrape other people's published content, create accounts by automation, or use the service to break the law or someone else's rights. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Price

The service is free at the moment. If paid plans are introduced, existing accounts will be told at least 30 days in advance and nothing you already have will be taken away without notice.

Early software

Axiom is new and changes often. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. In particular: it may miss, mislabel or lose context; it may be unavailable; and the axiomlift.ai server is not yet backed up automatically. Keep your own session files, which Axiom never alters or deletes.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending things

• You can delete your account at any time from the app, which removes everything held for it.
• We may close an account that breaks these terms, and may end the service with 30 days notice, during which you can export what you published and your session files remain on your own computer.

Changes and law

We may change these terms; the date at the top says when. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
